Responsabilitatea principală pentru modulul love.graphics e desenarea de linii, forme, text, imagini și alte obiecte „desenabile” pe ecran. Responsabilitățile sale secundare includ încărcatul de fișiere externe (incluzând imagini și fonturi) în memorie, creând obiecte specializate (cum ar fi sistemele de particule sau pânzele) și administrarea geometriei ecranului.
Sistemul de coordonate a lui LÖVE își are originea în colțul din stânga sus al ecranului, care se află la locația (0, 0). Axa x este orizontală: valorile mai mari sunt mai departe la dreapta. Axa y este verticală: valorile mai mari sunt mai departe în jos.
În multe cazuri, desenezi imagini sau forme în funcție de colțul lor din stânga sus (vezi imaginea de mai sus).
Multe funcții sunt folosite la manipularea sistemului de coordonate ale graficilor, lucru care este, în esență, felul în care coordonatele sunt transpuse pe ecran. Poți schimba poziția, dimensiunea și chiar unghiul de rotație în acest fel.
