Origin offset

The wording here confuses me. Is the origin supposed to be rotation anchor? Or is it simply a transformation of the drawing position, as the description seems to imply. Wouldn't putting x + offset in the x parameter be the exact same?--Marekkpie 23:00, 3 January 2012 (GMT)
