GGJ13 - HeartWorm (Snake Clone)

I participated in the Global Game Jam this weekend and this is the result of my solo project.
The theme for GGJ13 (http://www.globalgamejam.org) was an audio file containing one of the organizer's heartbeats. So I wanted to make a tempo-based game that used the heartbeat. To game concept of a snake game came to mind immediately.
Title Screen: Game Screen: Timelapse of the Development:
The two obvious bugs that I didn't get to squash in the 48-hour window are; 1) I did put protection in to prevent you from turning into yourself, but if you are quick enough you can still do it. 2) If you lose a game and start new, hearts left over from the previous game are present.
Obviously there is lots of room for polish, but I'm proud of what I was able to accomplish in a busy and hectic live jam.
