To make one, ZIP up the contents of the folder, NOT the folder itself, so that all the contents are at the root of the ZIP file. For example, open the folder where you have all your Löve files, i.e. where the main.lua file is located, and select all the files and ZIP them. On OS X and Windows you can right-click the selected files and either "Compress" or "Archive" them. Then change the extension of this new ZIP file to .love. This will be your .love file.
Enter the folder that contains main.lua and such, select main.lua and every file/folder your project needs, right-click them, if you're on Windows open the "Send To" menu and select "compressed folder", that will create a .zip file, if you're on Linux simply click Compress and choose .zip, if you're on Mac I don't know since I've never saw one

You have to double click the .love file and automatically LÖVE (it's not Love2d) should open it
