Hey!!
Hey! I'm new to Love2D but I'm not new to Lua, I am pretty good with Lua. Love2D seems like a pretty cool site. So, is there anything going on here?.

Hello. There's lots of things in viewforum.php?f=5.
Do you recognise when the world won't stop for you? Or when the days don't care what you've got to do? When the weight's too tough to lift up, what do you? Don't let them choose for you, that's on you.

Re: Hey!!
Oh ok, thanks. What's with the rubber piggy thing when I open up Love2D?

Re: Hey!!
It's the "no-game" screen, it appears when you open LOVE without loading any .love or folder, when you open LOVE providing an unexistant path or when you open it providing a non-zip .love

Re: Hey!!
A .love file is a ZIP file with all the contents inside it and a new extension.
To make one, ZIP up the contents of the folder, NOT the folder itself, so that all the contents are at the root of the ZIP file. For example, open the folder where you have all your Löve files, i.e. where the main.lua file is located, and select all the files and ZIP them. On OS X and Windows you can right-click the selected files and either "Compress" or "Archive" them. Then change the extension of this new ZIP file to .love. This will be your .love file.
You can also run it unzipped if you drag the folder (Extension or not) to the Löve application/EXE.
If you are on OS X, you can just give the folder a .love extension to turn it into a package and double-click it to open it in Löve. Don't think it works the same way on Windows or Linux. But don't quote me on that.
I'm on OS X and I don't ZIP the files until I need to upload them to the forum for assistance. I run them all from the Terminal myself.

Re: Hey!!
That's a shame. Do Windows and Linux not have the "package" concept?Nixola wrote:It doesn'tJasoco wrote:If you are on OS X, you can just give the folder a .love extension to turn it into a package and double-click it to open it in Löve. Don't think it works the same way on Windows or Linux.
