Notepad++ auto completion?

Hey there, so I really like using Notepad++ but really also like having auto completion from visual studio code, so i was wondering how you would hook Notepad++ up with Love2d auto complete? I found some old forums post where they did it but i was for older versions

I forget how but I found a way for NP++ to detect .lua files and that offered auto complete.

I spent a long time using NP++ and swore it was awesome and then I tried ATOM and haven't looked back. It's the closest thing to notepad while being better than notepad. Trust me - I've been where you are now.
