What's that? Another surprise game? This time an RPG with Cats?

Yup! Like Bad Writer I kind of hunkered away for awhile and made a game. This one's more complex, etc, so it took two and a half months compared to Bad Writer's two weeks, lol. Anyway! This a rogue like 8bit RPG with cats, called Catacomb Kitties. It's available on itch.io now, and will be on both the Nintendo Switch (thanks to mazette!) and Steam in the near future.

The run down:
A micro RPG with about 2-4 hours of play for each run
Randomized worlds, dungeons, and cities
Feline based permadeath. You have Nine Lives to try and beat the game.
A cool personality profile at the end of each game based on your actions during play
6 Kitty classes to choose from! Some are easier to use, some make the game so much harder.
Classic 8bit RPG gameplay, with turn based battles and random combat.

Wow, cool. Another one. (When I saw the name I first thoughy of "Catacomb Kids" ). Is a roguelike with 9 lives still a roguelike

Did you use that Pixel Magic engine to make it or just normal coding?

Sort of! It's a very rough version of that engine...beta beta beta beta

(and it will prob be an unreleased beta. I don't think anyone but me can easily use this to make games, sadly! And I'm rebuilding it from scratch using a voxel tiled engine approach to make HD2D style games, like Live-A-Live, the upcoming Dragon Quest 3 remake, and Octopath...which I think will make it stand out from other open source game engines, or other RPG game engines

I hope so! So far, I've done a lot of tests, and it's working really cool. But these are only tests.

And now it's on the Nintendo Switch! I think going forward I'm going to release the games on the switch first, and then back port then to Windows/OSX. The way I make games is just more suited to console gaming.
