THE LOGS
LOG #1
i began coding a little terraria character that could walk around. got the sprite of the guide and made some variables- oh. error. let me try this- OH CMON! so i went to the forums and got the answer to what was going on. (should've just continued reading the sheepolution tutorial...) and i got that working. i then made the character have a tool to hold. i just made it use the same variables as the character and voila!

this is the end of log #1. hope you enjoy the rest of this devlog!
LOG #2
as you can tell, i have lost interest in this project. to keep my interest up im gonna need a more original idea as doing a thing based on a thing im hooked on wont keep my interest up. but im thinking if i do something more original i wont lose interest as quickly. alas... i dont have any original ideas. do any of you guys have an idea for a top-down game that you have kept at the back of your mind? let me know! i might use it! (and credit you, of course.)
