LÖVE

Hey guys. So i've been playing around with löve for a while. And i've found out that the main reason i can't really get into it is cause i can't think of ideas for games..So i decided to ask you guys What sort of game would be a good "first game" to write? Something that would be pretty simple to write, Yet something you could learn from..see what i'm getting at? What was your first game?

i'd say the first thing you should go for is a shooter of some sort

sure they're generic and have been done too many times to count but they don't require too many advanced things in love and you can get a good head start on learning a lot from it.

and i mean a space shooter like where you're a little plane flying through space shooting purple magical doughnuts, not an FPS

i have yet to even see an actual FPS in love haha

Anyway, I'd specify a 'topdown' shooter

A puzzle game of some sort might be rather simple as well, just about any sort will do. At least that is the type of game I am hoping to start with for my first love project ;P

If you're too lazy, I'd suggest pong.
