Neat! Most newbie projects won't dare to try Love2D's physics library.
I found Gravity Guy to be more rage-inducing, but I had more fun with it.

thanks sphyrth. yeah bouncing ball came first, and i wasn't feeling very creative and it seemed easy enough. can you tell me how to do more detailed backgrounds. I've seen some amazingly detailed games here, and wonder how they're done.

It's not really obvious, but some projects here are done by teams. Either that detail comes from the hard-work of the designer with a lot of time and/or the developer has some real artistic talent.

Great, looks good. Can you please add support for android, on the login menu screen keyboard access (mobile) would be great. Great game overall.
