LÖVE

Hello, My name is Edward. I'm new to the forums, but I'd like to introduce myself. I've had a passion for programming and making games ever since 2013-2014. I am generally inspired by creators such as Markus Persson, Richard Garriott, and Doug Bell. I am relatively new to programming, but I did write some HTML code back in 2014-15. It's was very simple, but revolutionary for me at the time. I've tried learning Java, but held off on it because It was WAY over my head. One day, I hope to learn Java though.

I've found LÖVE a couple months ago, but I am really interested in it's capabilities. From what I've read, LÖVE uses Lua as it's programming langauge, which should be fine for me, since Lua is so simple for beginners. I hope to make a game similar to Ultima and then try to work on a game similar to Dungeon Master. I will need to learn Lua though, and I just hope that I can make and complete something. Hopefully the programming won't halt my creativity.

Again, I am really looking forward to chatting with you people on forums!

Hello, welcome to the forums! I hope you are comfortable with Lua. Having a programming background will certainly help you learn it faster.

I have little to no programming knowledge. From what I heard, Lua is fairly simple for a beginner so I am not too worried.
