Official Discord server

I've set up an official Discord server for LÖVE at https://discord.gg/rhUets9 . It's still in its infancy so feedback is welcome!

The IRC channel is still around of course, and I'll continue to be active there. Discord is generally more accessible than IRC however (despite discord's future not being entirely dependable), so I feel like having an official LÖVE presence on both platforms makes sense.

Not sure how it's any more accessible, both can be accessed over web page and an app. It does however contributes to community fragmentation.

Accessible in terms of UX, rather than just 'being able to access it'.

I hope in the long term this will actually reduce fragmentation somewhat, since I'm aware there are multiple unofficial LÖVE discord channels in other game development servers.

anti fragmentation measure: a bot that reposts messages between IRC and discord
I know the r/roguelikedev has a bot that does just that, but iunno who made it or what it's called /shrug

It's called a bridge. Having an "irc" channel would be nice...

...so, you mean bridging the oftc chatroom with a "dedicated" channel named irc or something, in the new discord server?

Yeah, that's it. I should've probably explained better what I meant.

Yeah, that would be a neat idea, and it's doable, there are irc bridges available i believe.

I'm more familiar with IRC and I already set up my pc and mobile clients.
I'm worried about community fragmentation!
It's easier to share content on Discord though, it seems like that platform is getting popular
