Hey guys, I've been Working on a game since last week (which has no real name yet) and just wanted to showcase it and get feedback on ideas and issues. It's still extremely basic, I've only managed to Implement Basic stuff like animation, walking and hereditary stats for the citizens. You can scroll with the mouse. Scrolling over a citizen shows a rudimentary stat screen for that particular citizen.
Next, I'm going to implement a better stats menu, a UI, male clothes, child sprites, different hairstyles, diverse clothes, more buildings, citizens being able to form relationships, jobs, military then eventually rival nations and monsters.
The end goal is basically:
1. to have complex citizens that have their own stats, bloodlines, wealth, etc.
2. Add rival nations and dangerous monsters.
3. to try to manage an empire with these for as long as you can.
Any feedback or ideas (even for a title ) are welcome.
Also Is anyone familiar with publishing to steam using love2d? And could you give me any pointers or tips on the process? Thanks.

I tested it, didnt work. repack it properly and test it before uploading.
a cool idea is affinity, this way they will mate/kill people they like/hate
if a dude bump into another one or have different traits it will decrease the affinity and the other way around.
this game may look good if you use Playmat - A Mode 7 Library.

And I really like the affinity idea using a radius to Affect interaction. That would be very simple to implement too. Also, I checked out the mode 7 lib. I'm not really familiar with rendering 2d that way but I may consider that for a future project. Thanks though

Here's an updated version. Everything should be drawing correctly and I added Menus for the peoples stats. Also if the conditions are right, the men will build houses, but the system is kindve buggy rn so they wont all build houses for some reason...
I also added last names to the people and the houses display the last name of the owner of the house. And I temporary changed houses to tents.
