Colortest

I'm trying to prototype a game every day since yesterday. I might skip some days, and eventually I might give up, but now I'm doing it. Here's the prototype for today. The theme I've chosen was "Alpha"

You're trying to guess the color beneath a semi-transparent color box. It really tests your understanding of the colors.

Since this is a prototype, I'd love some feedback.

Update: Minor improvement.

Update 2: Added some animations.

Update 3: Cover now moves out when one color is selected to reveal the answer. Thanks to ivan for the suggestion.

It's surprisingly hard. My best score was 8.

I like the basic idea, it's simple and clear.
My criticism is that it feels like taking a test.
The biggest problem is the text on the screen.
I think you desperately need an animated transition -
where the block under - slides out next to the correct choice.
This sort of simple animation would improve the experience a lot,
and will feel like you're playing a game!
I think there is potential in this idea, but of course,
building this prototype into a full game will require A LOT more depth.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, ivan! I agree that it's bit crude, and animation idea is good. I made it under two hours, and wasn't sure about developing it further.

Actually I don't have any ideas that would make it more than a minigame. I can polish it of course as it is. Maybe I will.

Good move bgordebak, it's a little bit better.
I think the sound effects are fine, but the animations still need more work:
Like I said before - you want to use the animations to add meaning:
I think revealing the block on top would be more powerful and clear.
It will allow the player to see which is the correct answer and why.
Think about it: let's say you were playing "cups and balls" and you choose the left cup,
what if the dealer said "oh well, you're wrong" without letting you see what's under the cup?
That would be kind of unfair, right?
Hope this helps!
