I'm not sure if picaresque is the right word. It is certainly very interesting........ nice job :)
My sky is white instead of pink though... is that meant to be?

I love stuff like this. Pretentious artistry for the win!

Wow dude! no doubt awesome, parrallex scrolling is the way to go for side scrolling games. Totally adding similar functionality to my engine.

parrallax scrolling Its a cool efect for 2D games, remember that awesome Sonic the hedgehog games in mega drive?...The parallax just make the stages look awesome...

Its a nice effect and that leafs flying gave a nice sense of wind, and though the art was really simple, it looked nice with the shading on the mountains... Keep the nice job ^^

This is such a cool thing to include in a time limited game dev compo. It seems easy to do and has a huge effect. I'll remember this.

1. very nice
2. the sound of this particular wind loop annoys me (can't find a nice one either though)
3. it's good that the speed of the grass animation changes, but I think there should be a delay in the frame, when the grass is at the 'wind peak'/most left. that delay also should be random in duration.
4. Trees

... dunno, but doing trees seems harder to me than doing grass and loose leafs.

The sky's white for me as well... odd...

Anyway: nice!
