Hello lovers!

I've been kicking around an idea for a while now, and I've finally sat down and made a game design document on it.

I know it's a little early to tell folks about it, but I am livestreaming the whole process, so I thought it would be pertinent of me to share this project with you!

Here's the Game Design Document on Google Docs! Comments and suggestions are very welcome.

At this point, I have written a 27 page game design document, and fleshed out most of the hacking minigame (pretty much a pipedream clone at this point)

I looked through the design document. Why a side-scrolling beat-em-up would have a hacking minigame? And why your protagonists's best friend would hold a grudge against her?

I realize that beat-em-up's don't usually fall off the beaten path often, but I want to try :) The main character is good with computers, and using this minigame as a means to progress the storyline and give the player more skills seems like a good way to go.

As for why Ada's "best friend" holds a grudge, I'd be happy to explain that on stream if you stop by, haha. It's a lot to write out, and I'm not sure if it's going to stick.

I know how you feel. Sometimes it's distracting, but it's good morale. Also, when I'm getting into something nitty gritty, I'll ignore chat for a few minutes anyway.
