Hi,

I'm new to LOVE2D and am interested in building the game engine (0.10.1) and all supporting libraries for Win32, where can I find what I need?

Thanks.

There are binary releases, you shouldn't need to build it.

You can find building instructions on bitbucket page. https://bitbucket.org/rude/love

If you are interested on building for the sake of it though you can look at the resources here and here, the sourcecode is here and can be downloaded from this section here.

If for some reason downloads of builds for the different platforms are down here and here there are alternative links

If you want to build for Android check instructions here (Windows), here(Mac OSX) or here (Linux), and downloads are available here (Landscape) and here (Portrait) if this happen to be outdated there are also builds in the main repo. For more instructions in Android check the wiki

I have no idea about iOS but you can only compile for it on Mac OSX. For further instructions and other unofficial ports check the port subforum

Compiling LÖVE is not easy and lot of people have trouble with it, have it in mind, it's possible though so you may as well try it out

Off topic, but I must note anyway that it's a poor practice to give links nondescript labels like this. And ideally you should post links verbatim: that way user knows exactly where link leads to, and is print-friendly. Thank you for your attention

raidho there is description of what each link is, like "source code can be found here", here may not be a descriptive name but the rest of the text tells you what each link is, and you can easily skip to what interest you.

Also posting raw links is not nice at all, that post would be way longer if I had posted the raw links, I prefere to hide them under a label... I don't see anyone printing a forum page you know? This is not mail, or old day pages.

Also there is no rule or recomendation in this forums that says I should do what you are stating above... So I'm fine with how that post ended up.

Also what is important is the information conveyed, if Splogg gets what he needs then everything should be fine and your critic is pointless.

I could argue that your comment is the unhelpful one, you told him "There is no need to build" when he is saying "I am interested in building" so next time try to help instead of telling people what they should or shouldn't do. Thank you for your attention and please don't derail the thread since that goes against forum rules
