Awedd (pronounced aww-edd) is a game where you are a square, and your goal is to avoid the grey squares and get to the red square in the fastest time possible. Also, squares.
It's a clone of "awedd.sim", a game made in Stagecast by the creators of Scale of the Universe. And Battle for Dream Island. and Get to the Top Although There is No Top. and it's 100 variations. and Cube Roll. and No Walking No Problem. and Tidepool. and about 258 other Stagecast games.
You can see "awedd.sim" in action here:

And you can download my re-creation of it here:
Or you can get the EXE version.
(ignore the decimals on the timer, I dont know how to round up/down it without breaking it)
My fastest time is 29 seconds, can you beat it?

Nice little game! It reminds me of 101 Monochrome Mazes (which is in my list of would-be-nice-to-have-a-clone-of games; in fact I already made a clone for DOS back in the days).
I miss the "crates", a key to go back and/or exit, and resetting the timer at each failure (otherwise you have to press R every time you die, which is a bit tedious and repetitive). Also, more levels.
Pressing ESC, or actually anything but space, at the selection screen crashed the game.
P.S.: 22.39 seconds. Take a look at math.floor about the decimals issue.

I'm gonna add those. Maybe.pgimeno wrote:I miss the "crates", a key to go back and/or exit, and resetting the timer at each failure (otherwise you have to press R every time you die, which is a bit tedious and repetitive). Also, more levels.
I'm gonna fix that right now, thanks for telling me!pgimeno wrote:Pressing ESC, or actually anything but space, at the selection screen crashed the game.

Re: Awedd - A game about blocks and things
When I try to download the EXE version, it sends me to File Dropper, and I can't open LOVE files. Can you help me with this?
