Ok.
ZABUYAKI <- gamedev blog
Meet our 1st fighter. Her name's KISA.
What design would u prefer for a beat 'em up game?
the 2nd picture or 3rd ?
The 3rd picture shows a classic SD chara design (The head''S height = body + legs height).
I think we could use this topic to show your own characters and ask pecky public

The third looks to clumby and unnatural, the second one is better, but I think his feet should be a little little little tiny bit smaller.
Edit
here is a character I've created some time ago.

I'd prefer the leftmost naked Stay Puft Marshmallow Man
JK although i could imagine both other sprites to be OK, depending on the general style of the game; 2nd if it's a bit more serious, 3rd if it's a bit silly fighter game; those gigantic hands could have some neat moves

Thank u very much for feedback. Well, it is going to be a "serious serious" game.
And now I'm using this marshy-marshy man for everything. 42+ frames so far.
2MadByte: Thank u! )) btw, nice characters and your projects (just read the list of them)

When looking at the images closely, number two certainly looks more natural. But in the context of a game, where there's a lot going on and characters are typically quite small on screen, number three is better. The bigger face and hands lets you focus on the important parts, giving you a better idea of the character's stance at a glance (while you dance with a lance).

Thank u. The character has been reworked. It is something between 2nd and the 3rd now. Way more kawaii ^__^
And u're right about the bigger parts. They are the key parts in fights.
