Hi, I'm a new member, hello everyone!

I have an idea, could you help me to choose the right libraries to implement this please?

Do you know Mugen, the fighting game engine? I'd like to do the same, but with shmup spaceships instead: one ship on the left, one ship on the right, both trying to kill each other. The idea is that the player can create its own spaceship, with its own dynamics, its own bullets, putting all images and lua files in a folder, and share it so other players can download it and play locally with friends.

For it to work, there's a minimal base that should be common: collisions, a life-bar that's depleted when you get hit, and key input.

So, am I on the right path with: HC for collisions, anim8 for animations, HUMP for gamestates, cameras...?
