Parsec is a topdown space themed shooter that I've been working on for the last week, and it's also the first game that I've made that's actually worth anyones time. :)

The game has 3 different powerups, 4 enemy types and gets progressively more difficult the more time has passed.

The game has some of the ugliest code I've ever written(so bugfixing is a nigthmare) but all things considered it turned out pretty well in the end.

If you want to leave feedback then please tell me what you think about the game's pacing, difficulty and balance along with anything else that you'd like me to look at. In my previous failed attempts at making games these aspects have always been tricky to get right so it would be great if you could tell me your thoughts on them.

Good one.

I stopped due to the low shooting frequency, suspicious hit boxes and one-hit-death :)

Thanks for the video and the feedback, I hoped the one-hit death and the low shooting frequency would make the game more tense and challenging but since both you and one of my friends irl have pointed at these aspects I might just decrease the delay between shots.
The one-hit death was added to give the game a feel similar to endless runners(temple run, subway surfer, canabalt etc) but maybe the game's difficulty starts of too low or rather, the difficulty ramps up too slowly. Increasing how difficult the game is might make the game less frustrating. And when it comes to the hitboxes... well they've never been the best, but I'll start to experiment with them to see if they can be improved further.

Anyways, thanks again for the critisism and I wish you the best of luck with your own projects. :)
