Hey! We made a ressource management game in a 48h game jam that's about a Plant trying to rebuild itself and defending itself from her fellow forest inhabitants. There are some things we couldn't finish in time, but all in all we think it's a pretty interesting game. If you want to play it, please have a look and maybe rate it, if you like it! Thanks a lot!

https://www.indiespeedrun.com/2015wp/game/?game=652770 (sadly only one download link was available, so we went for win64. If anyone is interested and really wants to try it, I think I can upload the .love file)

Uploading the .love file here would be nice, but it's not strictly required as the .exe file can be used as a .love file on other platforms. I don't get how to absorb/make minerals anyway... I used all of them early on and now I'm completely defenselss

Very nice, I like how everything seems very organic due to its movment.
But I have the same problem as Nixola: How do I obtain minerals? Or was this one of features you couldn't finish?

I found out eventually, in my third game; you have to kill ants, so you should not waste minerals shaking the plant until you have some thorns. It's a nice game! I think I might be close to the end, if there is one (I got everything but roots aren't maxed out yet)
EDIT: another level of roots? I'm literally just waiting for those now
EDIT2: ok, I think roots are endless.

I'm so sorry. Yes, you can acquire minerals by killing ants! I feel a little strange about uploading another version, you know? Because I could also upload one which has a few more fixes and then the rating wouldn't be genuine anymore. That's why I think it's sketchy.

And you can build endless roots! We actually thought that most people will not spend enough time to reach the end and we didn't have much time so we cut the "you did it"-screen (or how ever we should have solved this. But apparently a lot of people tell us that they don't know when they are finished :D If you reach the maximum height, the flower changes it's head to the one from the intro and reaching this height was actually supposed to be the goal of the game (though this might also not be communicated that clearly). So there's at least a little feedback, that you made it. I'm glad you liked it :) Thanks for playing!

Nice animations and sounds!

Too bad there's no win condition. I wasted a lot of time to find that out :)

Really cool! I remember playing a game that was pretty similar in the past.

Great art, great music. A complete game missing a ending! I'm impressed, really.

Thanks man! If anyone of you wants to show this to other people or share it somehow, please do so! I think we did very well too and I think we might have a shot at reaching the finals.
