Well Hello There ;)

This started as a reply, but it became longer than I had anticipated and went off topic so I decided to make it a personal introduction post.
I am a noob to Lua and LOVE2D... I have on and off programmed since I was 16, I am now 23. I am by far no expert but I have had experience with several languages. An old family friend was a programmer by profession, and he was the first to show me what programming was about. It all started with ColdFusion. He showed me the basics and gave me FTP access and some dedicated space to the server he had. I learned a bit of database and webpage development before I became curious about what else I was capable of.
Over time I fiddled with CFM, HTML, PHP, and CSS... But I felt web languages didn't really suit me, so eventually I moved on to more software-y stuff. I did quite a bit with vb.net, java, and python. I'll be honest, I've never worked on a shared project with others. Everything I've made was for personal use and learning, but I really felt accomplished with the programs I created. If I had the opportunity to work on a project with others, I think it would be a great experience. Like I said I'm a noob to Lua, but honestly it has to be the easiest language I've tried to learn thus far.
All that being said... I do have a job and I do have kids. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, but I do still try to program at least every other night. I am reliable and I will do my share if given the chance. I guess that's about that for now, feel free to ask ask me whatever if you feel so inclined.
