Burnout happens to all of us at one point.
I remember I took a break from all programming for a solid 6 months after finishing a CS course, well, because, I was fed up with seeing code.
It's just temporary, if you enjoy programming, you'll get the urge to come back within 2-3 months.

Been two months (may-june) to Baldur's Gate & Oblivion. And now returned and code again.
didn't even think that I can return so easy to programming.

Same here with splatoon atm; did a grindfest, now i'm starting to code again, looking over my old stuff, and trying to not rewrite everything from scratch.

Yeah, this happens. I really haven't coded anything outside of work and studies for several months now, and that's okay. I try to code primarily for fun, so trying to "force" myself isn't worth it.

If I don't code for a week I start feeling very uncomfortable. It's like withdrawl.

I too go through these phases, I haven't even looked at my football sim game for a few weeks, but I know in a few weeks I will be back at it.

A bit of an old thread, but I completely understand. A week break or three after some burnout and I'm all ready to go again. The most motivating thing is to start a new project that starts going somewhere fast, but some times you have to work on old things to make anything decent.
