LOVE lag spikes

I don't know why, but I think it's since I've updated to love2d 0.9.1: suddenly ALL games have lag spikes. It doesn't matter if the game does nothing or not. One CPU core is all the time at 100% (I have three cores, only one of them can be used by love2d without threats). Sometimes the lags are heavier, sometimes smaller, but it doesn't change itself during the game is running, only after restart.

It's most likely the garbage collector. Are you creating a lot of locals every frame?

No, it is also if my main.lua is empty.

Have you checked if it still happens with 0.9.2 yet?

0.9.2 isn't for download yet, but I will check it.

I meant one of the nightly builds (which essentially are 0.9.2).

Also check if it happens with 0.8.0.

0.9.2 doesn't launch because it is no Win32 Application.
0.8.0 worked.
collectgarbage("stop") doesn't work.

I have Windows XP Professional SP 3

Windows XP is not supported... I've tried it with my netbook (windows 8) and it worked.
