Hey guys!
I've been trying to do something a little bit harder with LOVE, and here's the beginning of the work : [beta 1]
controls: (press enter at the titlescreen to launch the game)
- arrow keys to move
- W and X to use items
- enter to see the menu (to change weapons)
What has been done ?
- custom maps (made with a handmade editor)
- Player moves (with collisions)
- Objects (weed, bushes...)
- Map events
- Weapon system/menu (currently just the sword)
- HUD : number of rupees/hearts
- saving system
If you're interested, here's the github repo
What do you think ? :-)

I'm impressed!
Found a little bug - I got stuck after destroying a bush and moving to the next screen:

Re: Zelda GB
This is beautiful, keep it up!
It'll probably help to attach a *.love in the OP, though.

Re: Zelda GB
Be careful with uploading game footage from this game to youtube as Nintendo's legal team are pretty damn evil (just in case you don't know).
Re: Zelda GB
That's really impressive. I'm developing something similar lately, and I have to agree with you, it's a bit harder with LOVE, specially when it comes to events, dialogues, map events, etc. I've been struggling with these for a while.
Keep it up and good luck.

Yes, thank you for the feedback. I actually forgot to replace some bushes with blocks...rmcode wrote:I'm impressed!
