Problems with vsync & Malwarebytes

Am on Windows 7 and wondering if anyone else is experiencing problems related to Malwarebytes and vsync.
What I'm see is that if Malwarebytes is active (mbam.exe) my frame rate goes to 500 fps even if vsync = true.
If I go into Windows Task Manager, I see that mbam.exe is using 78% of my CPU.
If I manually terminate mbam.exe, my script runs at 100 fps.
Anyone found a way around this?
