Hi,

can anyone recommend easy to use video editing and capturing software to make a trailer for a game?

I just got VirtualDub for Windows now, and I use screenshots to make the video.

Edit: recommendations are still welcome though...

I always recommend Sonys Vegas Video (now Sony Movie Studio) for editing. For capturing use Fraps or Geforce Experience.

I just did a little gameplay video of our Löve game. It was done on Linux and the best programs on Linux I found for the job were 'Simple Screen Recorder' (http://www.maartenbaert.be/simplescreenrecorder/) to record video and audio and 'OpenShot' (http://www.openshotvideo.com/) to edit the video. Both are only available for Linux, but I'm sure there are similar tools for other operating systems. I can show the resulting video once it is on youtube, hopefully soon.
