Hey everyone,

last weekend was the Bacon Game Jam #7 (Theme was "Hungry"). So I participated in collaboration with YGOFreak1997 and we created a simple game for it called "Little Reaper".


This is a slightly modified post-compo version with small changes on gameplay, new music and some other small fixes. To get the compo version go here!

Download: Controls:

• - X: Jump
  - C: Attack
  - M: Turn music on / off
  - P: Pause / unpause
  - Arrow Keys: Move left/right + attack up

How to play:

Eat souls to replenish your hunger bar. Running right and attacking will decrease your energy bar, fill it up by resting!
There are a few powerups that can help or hinder you in your way:

• - Energy Drink: Replenishes a lot of energy
  - Poison Flask: Poisons you, draining away your hunger faster than normal for a short period
  - Burger: A burger. Guess what it does.
  - Speed Potion: Gives you double speed for a short period

I tried to play this but it shows me the game over screen after about 5 seconds. Every time. What gives?

The reaper automatically moves towards the left side of the screen. If he is outside the visible area you lose the game. To prevent this you need to move using the arrow keys.

But personally I'm not that happy with it though. I think the graphics are too pixelated.
I scaled them down and I think it looks way better now.
