YARG: Totally the best Roguelike

Remember that absolutely horrid roguelike tech demo I made a while back? (Actually, a really long while back)
Well, I've decided to start working on... YARG!
What is YARG, you ask?

YET
ANOTHER
ROGUELIKE
GAME

It's a roguelike title, of course. There will most likely be perma-death. And I mean there will be perma-death. It'll have all the exploring, adventuring, looting, and traveling that one could ever desire!

There's no plot just yet, but that's gonna be a thing soon. Right now, I'm adding stuff to it to make it even better. And no, you won't need to step on monsters to attack them. That was dumb.

Now what does it look like?

What does it have?
  • Actual ASCII graphics, with a cool font!
  • COLOR! All sorts of radical colors for you to enjoy.
  • Randomly generated and non-randomly generated maps! All the fun of roguelikes, and all the fun of map editing!
  • More cowbell!
  • 100% open-source! (Check below)
(cowbell not included)

So what are you waiting for? Wanna help out with YARG? No problem!
Get at the Github!

Rejoice! Comment! Drool! Do whatever, but especially that commenting part!

Not sure if this was intentional or not, but the spot you stared at has no '.'

The spot you stared at? I'm a bit confused by what you mean there.
I didn't even know it was possible to stare in this game, to be honest, heh.

Yeah, meant to say started, not stared. That would be a bit difficult.

Weird, I actually misread that as "started".

Well, getting the discussion back on topic, the game looks nice, but I don't know what to do (I've also never played a Roguelike, so that may explain it...).

Oh, okay.
Yeah, the main reason is because the player spawns on the same place a tile would, and that the player's spawning method overrides where a tile would normally be, causing there to be no tile under the player's spawn point.

tldr: Layering thing. If it's too much of a problem then I'll get to fixing it immediately.

As of right now, there's not too much to do just yet...
You can move with the arrow keys and interact with the spacebar! (Interacting picks up money off the floor, that's all.)

Also, please feel free to make issues on the Github repo and I or someone else will probably get back to you on that immediately!
Pull requests are also fully welcome. In fact, they're encouraged.

Shops are next! ...Which means I'll need to do UI stuff. Oh boy. (How about someone else take the reins for that one? Heh)
They don't sell items just yet, but they do generate!
