AMD's new technology "Mantle" have been out for a few months but OpenGL and DirectX 12 will also support low level hardware. This is great because it will allow games to have a much higher FPS than normal when having lots of enemy AI's, buildings, bullets and all that kind of stuff in the game. Are there any love developers interested in supporting this when the new version of OpenGL comes out?
