I guess I'm one of the few who haven't seen or even know about the original, but his was awesome! The mechanics seem to be complete, no?

Well, it has all the necessary parts to make a barebone game. It's just missing monsters, correct floor generators, a final boss, etc.

Also use shift+< or shift+> to go up or down stairs.
