RGB - Colour reaction game, yeah

I've spent some of the weekend working on a simple idea I've had locked in my brain the past few days and would like to share it. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I haven't put an ingame tutorial but may do in the future. I'm not sure how difficult/easy this is. When I started making it I found it way difficult, so I'm not sure if I've made it a lot easier or if I've gotten better.

I've also made a simple level, it is very easy to use but will probably make no sense to you if you open it.

Instructions:
Change your colour so that you don't collide with the same colour.

Controls:
Q - Change to red
W - Change to green
E - Change to blue
Escape - Go back to title screen
Q+w+E - retry

In the menu:
Left - Decrease window size
Right - Increase window size
F - Toggle fullscreen
Q+W+E - Start

Resolution options are a bit naff at the moment so you might want to avoid fullscreen.

(This is love 0.8.0 compatable only, you'll never change me)

FUN!
Actually pretty interesting idea, my prejudgement of the game was a 2D platformer of sorts :P

I may just hijack this and make a multiplayer one since itl be fun to "race" perhaps :P

Some suggestions, severity of suggestion indicated by number (1-5), with 1 being very low severity.

4. A Time Attack Mode would be great for challanges.
1. A Inverse Mode - The "cubes" your cube moves on are split in two colors, You must be either of those two colors. (Its a catch out for getting use to normal?)
5. Have the speed of movement increase more quickly, indeed it was hard but i felt the speed was a tad bit too slow especially when hitting empty/no color spaces
2. A more clearer indication of the "health" or "lives" at the bottom perhaps?, maybe draw a neat thin white box round where they could be to make them stand out more?

Other than the above the game was a great time sink for some 5 minutes, perhaps my new-favorite game to sink while waiting for loading screens and such :P

Why not upgrade to 0.9.0?

Seriously, WTF? 0.9.0 is amazing. This is a pretty silly castle to decide to defend. Löve is in development and hasn't even made it to 1.0 yet. It's going to change a lot more before then too. Stopping at 0.8.0 for no reason is really silly. What if people were still defending 0.5.0? My god, there's so much that hadn't even been implemented yet.

Nah, you are not a monster.

0.9.0 are really fast too.

Like literally so much faster than 0.8.0. You'd be crazy to not want to port your project immediately. It can be twice, maybe thrice as fast in many cases.

Jimanzium, would you mind if I ported it to 0.9 for you?
