What are you're personal top 5 best video-games of all time and why?
(it does not have to be in order)
here is my list...
Xenogears: one of the best JRPG ever made to this day, along with Chronos Trigger and Final Fantasy. the deciding point was the amazing battle system
Super Mario:the first game I ever truly loved, and still play it on NES-emulation just for memories
GTA SanAndreas: (imo) the best sandbox, open world fun filled game probably of all time. I still think its better than even GTAV
Metal Gear Solid: infact the entire series, the memorable for me being Sons of Liberty and the Original, Snake Eater, Guns of the Patriots where amazing.
Its rare to find a game that has stayed mostly true to its fans without selling out and going mainstream (like SSX cough cough)
Tony Hawks Underground 2: its not just a skateboarding game, its so open world, you can get off your board, freak out, toss apples at people...just pure fun with some great music as well.
These are the games that shaped my general bias towards what a good game should be in general. I'm sure though that their tons of amazing, even better games to-date but for me I think I died out in the late PS2 early PS3 era.
Frankly I was disappointing with so called next-gen consoles such as PS4 and (especially) Xbox-One. maybe I'm growing old. I still love video-games in general.
