Need a hand?

So I stumbled on to LÖVE via the wonders of Google. I'm very impressed. I also see that it's open source, and you have an (albeit fairly empty) issue tracker. Now I know C++ and have experience using it with SDL and OpenGL (and some very limited experience with DevIL). Say I wanted to pitch in; what would be the best way? I see the subversion repository on the sourceforge page, is that used, or would I be better off with patches from the latest release tarball? Do you even need the help?

This is dependent on me getting my dev-machine setup good and proper again (had to reinstall. bleh!) and getting some free time between lectures/exams/etc, but if everything goes According To Plan, I would like to contribute.

EDIT: I see the issue tracker is but a few days old. That would explain the 'pretty much empty' thing. ^^

Hello Bernard,

First of all, you must know that there is a standardized initiation procedure.

I hope you'll pass!

Best regards,

Sure! The current /trunk is completely different from the latest .tar, so I would go with SVN. The current trunk is a bit "broken" down at the moment, though. I think it will be hard for new devs to enter the process at this point, so I would recommend that you wait until the next release, or until I deem it stable enough.

Which platform do you use?

What?! Selection is that easy?
Don't know if I can do anything useful, but still, I'd be glad to help.

Sure thing. Like I said, my dev-machine isn't set-up completely at the moment, so that's okay.

Linux mainly and preferably, though I can do Windows in a pinch. :P

There. I am now compliant. Although I don't live in Eastern Europe. Is that a problem? ;)

A lot of forum posters seem to hail from there, is all.

The devs are from Northern Europe, and the people I can remember mostly live in the US or Western Europe. (could be wrong though)
Anyway, let's stay on-topic :P
