I taught a unit in game development this weekend at a weekend camp for kids. We built a simple fly swatting game in Löve. I thought I'd share the code and app here. The students followed along or went ahead in their own direction depending on their comfort level. (We had kids ages 9 through 17, with zero through 6 years programming experience.)
I posted about it on my site here http://partlyhuman.com/jam/pixelarts2013/. There you can read more, or grab copies of the code at each step.
Download the final game here http://partlyhuman.com/jam/pixelarts201 ... -game.love
Thanks for being an awesome community and building such a friendly game engine.

Huh, this game is pretty fun. I like how flies would move around pretty much like real flies.
You might want output number of flies left to the game screen rather than console.
