Where do you see Love2d in 5 years?

I was just interested in what some of you guys think is going to happen with the future of Löve.

How do you think the community will change?

What additions do you think might be added to the engine?

Will we learn who we are obeying?

Love3d?

Another few largely successful games? (Mari0, Snayke, etc)

More known around the indie community?

Less known around the indie community?


Or whatever you want think will happen:)

More known around the indie community
Side-Scroller support
Better community(less mean people)
More tutorials
Built in camera module
WAY more community addons
More successful games, defiantly
No multi language support(LÖVE's meaning is based on Lua's meaning)
We are obeying Rude
More default callbacks
Bigger community

We can hardy get less well known as noone is going to forget and hopefully none of the current members will die soon, but I doubt very highly we will get "side-scroller support" or
a "camera module" as the general rule

Sorry to double post but I am on my iPod and can't edit and the previous post submitted itself too soon, (merge please bartbes :P)

...is if its possible already it won't become a built in library. I think/hope we will see many more games released commercially, especially with tools like greenlight to get indie devs exposed to the gaming community

Maybe we will have legit 3D. That would be pretty wicked. Or maybe iOS support, if iPhones are still being used in 5 years. Yea.

I'm confused about the "side-scroller support" thing. Side-scrollers are most definitely possible in löve. See mari0 for example. Or slightly more relevant to the thread, baconhawka7x's bow game (I forgot what it's called..long name.)

I feel like more LÖVE tutorials and LÖVE big games will come out. I hope LÖVE becomes more popular. As for 3D, I think someone will eventually make a lib that you may implement into your LÖVE game adding 3D. That would cool.

A couple of people (including me) already did, but I think no one even uses 3D that often here...

Except for Jasoco.
Currently designing themes for WordPress.

I see the community growing for sure,

A ton of more community-made libraries,

I think pretty soon someone in the community is going to make a really really big game, that surpasses every other in like "professionality". Kind of like mari0, in that it is a full and complete game. And that this game will bring a ton of more people to love, and show new members who are on edge about learning Love2d and Lua, that you can make large games with Love2d.

I think we'll see more video tutorials.

I think we'll see another ruler

And Maybe some more collaberations amongst the community.
