I can't think of a game to make

So I started work on Tilt again, but I would like to make another game on the side. Probably something more like a minigame. However, I have no idea what to make. What should I do?

Hmm... What genre game does Love not have a good example of yet? Maybe make a racing game of some sort? Or a little fighting game?

Funny, for me it's the opposite. I want to make a game of every type but keep getting distracted by the other types. Platformers, adventure, point and click, puzzle game, racing, SHMUP... I have dozens of half-started projects from every genre I will probably never finish.

Domino.

Bonus points if you make it multiplayer over the net.

You know what I'd love? A platformer-scroller with a REAL storyline!

When I played MMORPGS, I could never decide what character to play.

Now I have the infinite possibilities of coding in LOVE.

I'll probably have the same problem as you.

You can't go wrong with a massively sprawling rpg!
It will suck you dry and give you nothing guaranteed!
Kidding aside having a absolutely humongous ambitious project as a goal to build towards is fairly interesting, especially if you chop sections of and see how they work.
Alternatively you could try to build a tool/library and see the intricate working of it.

If you lack inspiration, don't begin a big project. You will just end up abandoning it. Make some fun little demo instead.

My problem is usually the opposite though. I often play games and think "Ooh, I want to make something like this but..." and the ideas start flowing. Go play Doukutsu Monogatari or something.

That's Cave Story, for those who aren't major nerds. Err, don't question how I know that. Anyway, yeah, that's one of the most amazing games ever. (Just got done 100%-ing it a little while ago)

I just remembered there's another great resource for making a videogame.

You must go to this address, click on that button, and make a game based on what it says. No matter what.

http://videogamena.me/

You are only allowed to click it again when you finish your previous game.
