A platformer of sorts

I've been working on a platformer that loads levels off of an image. So far everything works fine but I'm not sure what to actually do with it. If anyone has any ideas please do tell.
If you want to try it out the green blocks are spawn points, spikes are spikes. Press 'r' to respawn, arrow keys or a + d to move and space to jump.

Wow, that's actually really useful for a lot of things actually. Do you mind if I modify this code?

Huh, I've played around with loading levels based off images in the past too, Used it in my
snake clone.
You could use elseif in your load_map function instead of all the if's, Don't think it'll make any huge differences, But it'll look cleaner.

I think there are worse parts that could be cleaner
