Post your game ideas here and disproves others by telling them that it has been already done!
My idea:
An Owl Massacre game. You play as an owl and shoot the living hell out of other animals complete with power ups and upgrades to your weapons.

I had an idea for a platformer. You play this thing that needs to stay a certain temperature or it'll die. And in the game there's cold and hot tiles, And you need to get through the levels keeping the temperature within a certain range. Haven't made this yet only due to platformers being ridiculously tricky to make for some reason.

I like it. I suppose it's an extra dimension to health. Where as you normally start at 100 and things lower your health to zero when you die, you now start at 50 and two types of entity move your health in either direction. Temperature is a nice paradigm (dunno if thats the right term) to portray this. If we wanted to move this to 3 dimensions what paradigm could we use?

Not sure. But you could make the heat system quite intricate. Take other things into account than the tile temperatures, Like friction and such. So you lose heat when in mid air and gain heat at a faster rate the faster you're moving on the ground.

The way I imagined it was completely different, so don't worry.

Somebody should make a game where a mad scientist is sticking people with a needle spreading the Gr-UM.Py virus, and you play a robot who has to hug everyone to prevent the epidemic. But then the government comes to blow you up, and you have to sneak into the white house to hug Obama.

Here's an idea I had for a game jam that later decided to change the theme, so I never made it.
You are Bob. Bob is a simple guy who likes order and structure in his life. He works in a factory, goes home, reads the newspaper, has dinner, goes to bed, and the repeats the cycle. Bob is happy. He eventually retires, and then dies, is buried in a nice little plot, and is very content with how things are.
And then the apocalypse happens and Bob rises from the dead. Obviously this departure from the normal way things must go upsets Bob very much, so he decides that something needs to be done. So Bob sets out to end the apocalypse, so that he can go back to his little graveyard and rest in peace again for the rest of his non-life.
