So, about that GCW Zero?

Here comes another handheld Linux-based game console.

I'd love to see Löve on this thing. Seems the problem is always that these things never have all the required libraries, and that consoles like this come out all the time. Is there a standard between them that could possibly eventually result in a Löve version ever being available for them? Because this would be amazing.

Move this if it belongs elsewhere. (Like the nLove forum. I wasn't sure.)

I had a Dingoo A320 once. Got it for $40 like 4 years ago (I admit it was a steal and is worth about ~$60~$70 even now) This hardly seems like an improvement for the price.

Code: Select all

Spec        A320    GCW

Cost       ~$70     $160
CPU (MHz)   400*    1000
RAM (MB)    32      512
Screen      320x240 320x240

Storage:
  Internal  4 GB    16 GB
  External  32 GB   64 GB
If they were released at the same time, they'd be comparable.

* - Overclocked reasonably, about 366 normally I think

I wonder how well this would run if Löve were ported to it. I'd looooove to build a game for a handheld using all the best features Löve can offer on these devices.

Why not an Android phone with a Moga?

Your phone snaps right in - up to 3.2 in./82mm, the largest phones in the market - or kick back and game on your tablet. Works with Bluetooth enabled Android 2.3+ smartphones and tablets.
Judging from their site alone, that thing is extremely outdated. Android 2.3 is old, and there's hardly a new phone that's 3.2 inches anymore. Mine's 4.6 and it feels a bit small.
