｜I figured i had finally
｜failed often enough to create a thread
｜containing my projects on hold, or projects
｜i failed at, as i like to call them when im not feeling
｜so optimistic about them .

first came the "Ran" game

the lovely main character Ran, goes about his everyday officejob, giving you multiple choices for everyday things which would result in hugely different outcomes, a long term full game project based on this game


this one was put on hold because i got stuck on Z-ordering and realised i would most likely have to completely rethink how i was coding the game to get it to work, also its waaaaaay to ambitious for me atm

second came "average space" shooter

fly through space, in an upwards space shooter with the ability to pan sideways more than usual space shooters, save the world from invading aliens
still working on this one, alot slower though, just kinda got bored of it .

and the most recent project is a hex based musical game called "HIVE"

this is based on the idea of attaching sounds to hexagon colours, then linking the hexagons up in any order you want and designating one as teh first note and playing it, the play data is then collected into a table and compared to the target jingle, the closer you got the better your score, for everytime you relisten to the jingle during building your points go down

atm im just playing around with it though for the whole hud click view image! though its not very exciting so i probably wouldnt bother if your interested here this one is in its current 003 version
left click = highlight a hex,
right click = remove it
then with a highlighted hex you can left click on it to set the colour
(which you can cycle with the mousewheel)

maybe this look into the games im working on has made me seem like less of a lurker
and hopefully its also been interesting!

I can't figure out the controls for Hive.
