Hi everyone. Does anybody know.. is it possible to use Love for Mac development and distribution with Mac App Store? In case of positive answer.. it is very interesting how to make code signing. Of course we could sign our mac-app within Xcode project. but... i gues, it is possible only if we have all minimal Love-code stuff to rebuilt it. Buut.. what if we don't? I found one solution: we make a bare application (for signing within Xcode) that executes our Love app with corresponding .love-file and quits immideatly leaving our Love-app active.
Well... it would be useful to view detailed comments about this stuff. Thanx)

I'm not familiar with Mac App Store procedures, but what might work would be downloading LÖVE from its repository, modifying the Xcode project to handle the codesigning and whatever other hoops you need to jump through, and embedding or otherwise packing in the .love. I've no idea if it's actually doable, but that'd probably be the place to start.

2anjo thanx. I'l to try to experiment with Love sources and make a little report here later. Still hope that there is someone who did something similar before.

I'd say that it is unlikely that you'll get more feedback than this on the forum.
Anjo is LÖVE's apple developer; the only other person that has been interested in compiling LÖVE on mac has been Jasoco, AFAIK. There was even a thread for that, if I remember correctly.

When I write def I mean function.

I'd love to help, but I don't know anything about what the Mac App Store demands, nor do I know anything about XCode, you see, you elitist apple-using scumbags deem us not worthy of technology.

I wouldn't know a thing about compiling actually. I was more interested in the iOS side of things since iOS is OS X underneath with a bit different library set. I just use OS X so I like to be concerned with the Apple side of löve's development and future development and platforms. (God... I soooo want to code Löve for the iPhone. Such a dream.)kikito wrote:I'd say that it is unlikely that you'll get more feedback than this on the forum.

Or did you (or maybe your bank - I admit, Macs aren't cheap) deem that?bartbes wrote:deem us not worthy of technology.
