Vine AI graphics.

I'm having a go at AI and i'm trying to do a procedural vine with branches. However, I'm unsure how I would draw this vine.
Should I:
a. Pixels on imageData. Enlarge for that retro feel.
b. Tiling images creatively. Utilize the spritebatch.
c. Cubic splines with matching first derivatives. And then fill them. Numerical methods!
d. Crude polygons. BLOCKS! Or maybe a ton of circles. Spritebatch.
e. other
Oh, and removing love.graphics.clear() is out. Doesn't work on all machines uniformly. And I'm leaning towards option C. I just might need a little help (probably a lot) on it.
