png images do not load in windows xp

hi all,
we have started a game collaboration project and our first game is having some issues with loading the graphics images. well, as far as i'm concerned. because every other member was able to run the game with no problem.
i have windows xp sp(3?) and a pretty old dell laptop. i could however run all love demos.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
