Cool, I like it. Very impressive for a first effort!
Small improvement suggestion:
Do not use the 'z' key for confirm/jump. Use something standard like enter/space. If you insist on using 'z' check for the unicode value not for the key code. When I pressed 'z' nothing happened. That is because the key code for 'z' is keyboard layout specific. I guess LÖVE's "key z" refers to the US keyboard layout.. and I - like most people - don't have a US keyboard. If you check for the unicode value of the letter 'z' instead it should work correctly with all keyboards.

P.S. I am already at level 20. The game is addictive!

You know, I really enjoyed this game! There are definitely some flaws, but I found myself playing it to the very end. Nice work, especially for your first game!
Some things to consider:
1. Gravity and jumping are a little floaty. I realize that changing this would break most of your puzzles, but it's something to consider if you do a "Canny the Can 2" (which I think you should!)
2. Some of the levels near the end are pretty easy - too easy. The difficulty flow of the levels was something like: Really easy - easy - challenging - easy - really easy- challenging.
3. The collisions between Canny and his corpses can be pretty glitchy. It works most of the time, but quite a few times I ran into a bug where Canny seems to switch places with a corpse he's colliding with - this can be pretty frustrating on some of the levels, especially the ones where you have to interact with your corpse(s) to beat them.

It.. shouldn't? Are you sure your version of SDL isn't severely borked?
(Then again, it's SDL..)

I am using the official 64-bit Windows distribution of LÖVE 0.8.0 (i.e. the SDL dll which comes bundled with it). I have encountered this issue so many times I have stopped counting. You wouldn't believe how many SDL games don't handle different keyboard layouts correctly. I used to program a lot of SDL (1.2) in C/C++ and I still remember that the only way to get portable recognition of keys like 'z' was to read the unicode value.

Thanks everyone! I'm glad to see your positive reply.
Everyone's feedback about keyboard, floaty gravity and glitchy collision was very helpful to me. I'm just beginner, and I can't see my game's flaw correctly..
I promise I'll post better game next time, thanks for people who played my game.
