I heard about it, so I looked it up & made an account.
I'm very fluent in Lua and saw on the main page that you can use Lua to make 2D games on this site?
Reply with things that are possible to do on this site, please.

This site is a forum, wiki, and issue tracker dedicated to Love2D and its community. Love2D is a framework which you download to your computer (Windows, Mac, or Linux) and work with using Lua. Though there is a project dedicated to making Love2D games run in your browser, Love2D is normally used out-of-browser. But that's not a bad thing - Love2D runs way faster than Flash or LWJGL by not being trapped in a browser.

Please read at the "Getting Started" portion of the Love2D Wiki, which I didn't link because there's already a link to the wiki at the header of this forum.

As far as text editors, Notepad++ and SublimeText 2 would be good options. Some LOVErs use SciTe too.

For learning Lua in general (not LOVE-specific):

I like ZeroBrane for editing. It even has a mode for Love 2D under the menus of:

Project --> Lua Interpreter --> Love2d

The software is free, but the developer does ask for donations.

Hmm, I had never heard of that one. It seems really nice!
