Intro/Question

I've just found LÖVE and I have to say, I'm excited about what it can do. I've been looking for literally years for something that is both easy to use and powerful. I've looked at QBASIC, Blitz3D, C++, Visual Basic, and other languages in an attempt to find the right language, but none of them fit the bill.

Anyways, to get back on topic, I need help finding scripts. This topic is specifically about shifting an entity along an axis or positioning an entity at a specific point, but it would be a real help to find a list of the commands, how they are used, etc. Looking through the Wiki is a bit tedious, I can never find the right command. Any help is greatly appreciated!

This is also a way of finding out how much I can come to rely on this forum to help me. Some forums are unreliable because they never reply.

Maybe you should start in the tutorial section instead?

This one shows how to move an image across the screen on keyboard input: http://love2d.org/wiki/Tutorial:Hamster_Ball
Sorry, but the images for it died recently. Any images will work though.

helpful reply
But seriously, both the forum and the IRC channel (#loveclub on freenode.net, in case you haven't found it yet) are extremely helpful.

Please don't make the text almost the same color as the background.

What if it's the same exact color as the background?

Jasaco, I think your post failed, as I can't see anything there (might be my browser acting up).

That is because you are not looking hard enough.
I am especially hard to read.

I can't see TechnoCat's either. Must be on my side.
