Has anyone heard of OUYA?

Well, it's an inexpensive Android-based TV Gaming Console which consists of mainly free and free-to-play games, there is no SDK to buy - every console comes with the tools needed to create a great game.

Yes, Android. Aaaaaannnnndrrrrrooooiiiiid. Now mix the wonderful LÖVE with the tv-console open-source android based OUYA and you get LÖUYA.
Hopefully we shall see the attempts of creating this concept this coming year.

Let the conversation, begin!

STJFPOST = "STUPID TOPIC JUST FOR PONDERING OVER STUPID THINGS" (meaning, please dont flame or rage, just give your thought)

It's kinda interesting, but it hinges on the port of love to android, and the large technical limit there is having to port all of that code to java, or whatever form would be necessary to run on the dalvik jvm.

As an aside, I'm totally down with the idea of cheap-ass android set-tops everywhere supplanting home ownership of intel x86 computers. I mean, the ecosystem is a bit of a ghetto from what I understand, but having an island of löving friends and family for some good clean game making would be good stuff. Though I also totally understand why it's the bottom of the market, and that not a lot of money can be made there, which is why there's no rush for it to exist in the west.
