Here's my ludum dare entry! 'The Plane of Evolution'

It is a top down shooter made for the Ludum Dare.

You are in a world where satan has decided that society has fucked up the world enough already, so he is going to get rid of everything.

Satan decides to de-evolutionize EVERYTHING back to the very beginning.

You are mass, and as the world de-evolutionizes. you start to shrink. You must make sure that you don't shrink down to nothing buy picking up hearts and buying powerups!

Is there a plain love package/source to grab? I prefer not to download the binaries since the OS X app packages have to include some dependencies. Anyway, isn't it a requirement for LD to post the source code?

Edit: Never mind, I grabbed it out of the app package.

Lafolie he didn't entered in compo but in Jam so he don't need to present source I think.

It isn't required to post the source in the jam.

But I've had a lot of people asking me personally for it. So I put it under downloads.

You are old enough on this to know that Love users really don't care and want assembled binaries. For what? Waste time in download extra MB? Waste time in unpacking the source from other binaries if you don't provide a choice for their OS' like Linux users? They already have it the proper binary thank you. Assembled binary version is only useful for people that never used or haven't yet a copy of Love in their system. You should have already the good sense of provide it as default action if you really want Love users test it. It's actually a bit embarrassing for you that people need to ask you for the source.

Thanks to you, my keyboard is all broken now.
Well, the gameplay is quite entertaining. I remember yelling out while running from those guys chasing me.
I liked the fact that we can shoot in four possible direction. That was cool.
I would have suggested a pause screen, to take a breath. And some screenshaking when the guys hit you and you loose your mass.

Anyway, good luck in the contest.

Hmmm, if you like that you could also like the multiple firing in stoned's Deer (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=9401). sockmunkee is on the jam so no contest for him.

Thanks for the suggestions. I Probably will add pausing in a newer update. We plan on adding ALOT to the game.
